Fostering Senior Technology Literacy

Bridging Digital Barriers with Our Student-led Technological Assistance Program for Senior Citizens

What We Offer

Teaching Tech offers a variety of technology assistance programs for senior citizens, ranging from in-person group sessions and personal help appointments to digital and print learning resources available to individuals and community organizations.

Technological Assistance

We help seniors with any and all devices, as well as any and all questions to amplify participants' technological literacy, a skillset that is becoming more and more important everyday. We promote digital learning through in-person assistance and out-of-class resources, working with senior centers, retirement communities, and other community spaces to do so.

Learning Resources

We post flashcards, slides, and videos on our website that can be publicly utilized for community center and organizational programming, as well as for individual use. Furthermore, we provide class participants with flashcards and technology cheatsheets to employ outside of our sessions, allowing them to perfect their newly learnt skills in the everyday setting.

Individualized Instruction

We hold group classes at community centers and retirement communities, maintaining a small student-instructor ratio at all times to maximize individual attention. For even more personalized assistance with greater scheduling flexibility, seniors can reach out for individual help sessions.

Community Connections

Not only does Teaching Tech supply individualized technological assistance, but the organization also fosters community bonds by bringing high-schoolers and seniors together for a meaningful cause. Teaching Tech is much more than a tech tip or two; it is the conversations and stories shared.

Our Partners

We work with our community partners to offer technological assistance programs that work best for their patrons.
